Diag-Skills: A Diagnosis System Using Belief Functions and Semantic Models in ITS

چکیده
This work is related to the diagnosis process in intelligent tutoring systems (ITS). usually a complex task that relies on imperfect data. Indeed, learning data may suffer from imprecision, uncertainty, and sometimes contradictions. In this paper, we propose Diag-Skills model uses theory of belief functions capture these imperfections. The objective twofold: first, dynamic evaluated skills, then, prediction state non-evaluated ones. We conducted two studies evaluate precision Diag-Skills. evaluations showed good predictions almost perfect agreement with instructor when failed predict effective skill. Our main premise results will serve as support remediation feedbacks given learners by providing them proper personalization.

Belief Functions and Parametric Models
The theory of belief functions assesses evidence by fitting it to a scale of canonical examples in which the meaning of a message depends on chance. In order to analyse parametric statistical problems within the framework of this theory, we must specify the evidence on which the parametric model is based. This article gives several examples to show how the nature of this evidence affects the an...

15 صفحه اولa contrastive study of rhetorical functions of citation in iranian and international elt scopus journals
writing an academic article requires the researchers to provide support for their works by learning how to cite the works of others. various studies regarding the analysis of citation in m.a theses have been done, while little work has been done on comparison of citations among elt scopus journal articles, and so the dearth of research in this area demands for further investigation into citatio...
a frame semantic approach to the study of translating cultural scripts in salingers franny and zooey
the frame semantic theory is a nascent approach in the area of translation studies which goes beyond the linguistic barriers and helps us to incorporate cognitive and cultural factors to the study of translation. based on rojos analytical model (2002b), which centered in the frames or knowledge structures activated in the text, the present research explores the various translation problems that...
15 صفحه اولDiagnosis of Dementia and its Pathologies Using Bayesian Belief Networks
The use of artificial intelligence techniques in medical decision support systems is becoming more commonplace. By incorporating a method to represent expert knowledge, such systems can aid the user in aspects such as disease diagnosis and treatment planning. This paper reports on the first part of a project addressing the diagnosis of individuals with dementia. We discuss two systems: DemNet a...
